  • Note: Student ID is not sufficient identification. GMAT requires state or federal photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport. Examinees testing outside of their country of citizenship must present their passport

GRE (Graduate Record Exam)

When a graduate program asks for GRE scores, they usually mean the General GRE only. If the school or program also requires a specific Subject GRE score (i.e. Biology), they will usually make that requirement clear in their admissions instructions. Website: www.gre.org

GRE General Exam

  • When: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at 12:30p.m., by appointment

Be aware that there are occasional exceptions to these dates and times. Also, testing schedules often fill to capacity, so an advance appointment is required to ensure a seat.
  • Fee Waiver: A one-time GRE fee reduction waiver is available to qualifying candidates. The waiver reduces the GRE fee by 50 percent. You must be currently registered for and receiving federal financial aid through an undergraduate program to be eligible, and income contribution limits apply. Contact the Financial Aid office for more information or to request a waiver.  Use the instructions on this link to apply: http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/about/fees/reductions/
  • Other Financial Aid: There are also several scholarship and achievement programs supported by the fee waiver reduction such as “GEM” for minority students in engineering and science—as well as availability for those who can confirm that they are currently unemployed and receiving unemployment compensation. See the link in the Fee Waiver paragraph above for more details.
