Celebration of Children and Families

Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the QUAD

8th Annual Celebration of Children and Families

If you have any questions about this activity please contact Konie Humphreys 435-797-3052 or konie.humphreys@usu.edu.

Aggie Care, a program of the Provost's Office, sponsors the Celebration of Children and Families every September on the QUAD.  Each college provides at least two activities for children from toddlers to preteens.  The activities should be indicative of what the college is about.  This mini recruitment day gives families time together and brings pride and understanding of where their parent(s) work.  It is an evening where families can enjoy time together.  All university employees and students with children can come to enjoy this evening.

In the past, we have enjoyed many fun activities such as the Jon M Huntsman School of Business providing games to help prepare children to understand job interviews. The Merrill Cazier Library brings items from their special collections such as Old Ephriam's skull.  The College of Science has explosive experiments such as flaming gummy bears for children to enjoy.  Attendance is estimated between 700-1000 people attending.  A light dinner is served and the evening is begun with a flag ceremony.

The Provost's vision for this event and Aggie Care is to support families and create a fun family atmosphere.  Aggie Care's mission is to make quality off-campus child care available and raise the quality of child care throughout Cache Valley.  We are committed to making sure that child care isn't a barrier when working at Utah State University.
